Calcium Explained

Calcium is the primary mineral responsible for strong bones and bone well-being. It helps maintain the health of other vital systems, including the heart, muscles and nerves. Calcium is a component of enzymes involved in blood clotting, plays a role in proper muscle contraction, and contributes to a health nervous system.

Minerals can be classified into two categories; major and trace.
Calcium is a major mineral essential for proper nutrition every day. Of the two to three pounds of Calcium contained in the average body, 99% is located in the bones and teeth. The body cannot produce Calcium, so a balanced diet, regular exercise, healthy lifeshyle choices and adequate intake of Calcium, Vitamin D and Magnisium can play a role in maintaining bone health.
