Why Take Vitamins

Scientists call essential substances of life vitamins. Until recently, it was widely believed that supplements were only necessary if a person had an outright illness or was truly sick.

Today, research indicated many Americans have mild or moderate nutrient deficiencies that impact their health status, and dietary supplements are necessary to maintain health. Unaddressed, these deficiencies can often put your body at risk for future health problems. Therefore, it is important for people to be sure they are receiving the proper amounts of high-quality nutrients for overall emotional and physical well being.

To understand the reason behind the need for dietary supplementation, let's first examine the average American diet. As a nation, we eat too many empty calorie goods. Although people in the United Sates consume plenty of food, it is not the rights KIND of food. Studies have concluded nearly 70% of a n average Americans diet is made up of fats and refined sugars that have low to no nutrient density. This contributes to nutrient deficiencies that can rob your body of its natural resistance to disease, hasten premature aging and weaken your over all performance.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has found that a significant percentage of the US populations receives well under 70% of the USRDA for vitamin A, vitamin C, B complex vitamins and the essential minerals calcium, and magnesium. A separate study found most typical diets contained less the 80% of the RDA for calcium, magnesium, manganese and zinc. It also found the people most at risk were young children and women.

Since the completion of studies of the 1960's the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) has been continually cited as a contributing and causative factor in a variety of "killer" diseases. These would include arthritis, atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), colitis, coronary heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke. There is also an increase risk of female disorders associated with diets high in processed fats called trans-fatty acids and increased intake of refined sugars and caffeine.

Although the typical American may appear to be adequately fed, contributing factors such as environmental pollution and stressful life patterns create an even greater daily requirement of certain nutrients to maintain good health. By definition, the millions of Americans that are on diets need additional vitamins an minerals to make up for deficiencies resulting from reduced calorie intake occurring through their dieting habits.

Vitamin Information

Many of your do not know me. Here is how I got started with GPI and Rawleigh back in 1995 and what some of the products have done for me and my family

Back in 1995 I was introduced to the GPI weight loss products. I wasn't trying to lose weight. I just needed some energy so I could tone up. My favorite weight loss product is the Thermo-Lift Millennium. The energy that I get from that product is awesome :)

Rawleigh Medicated Ointment - I burnt myself on a electric skillet and instead of putting my fingers under cold water I stuck them in the can of Medicated Ointment then pulled them out and rubbed them together gently. After 30 minutes went by I washed my hands and there was no signs of a burn :)

Rawleigh Black Pepper - The best black pepper I ever tasted. Since trying Rawleigh Black Pepper I have never bought store bought pepper again !

Can you believe it? People are getting drunk and then going to the doctor for a vitamin drip AKA party girl drip!!
One actor said he liked it cause it gave him a WARM feeling, hello ! that's the niacin in the "vitamin drip".

Why not just keep your body healthy?
If you don't like taking vitamins, drink a liquid vitamin like Power Nutrients. If you need a LIFT pull a packet of Ultra Power Nutrients out of your pocket and put it in some water. Both of the products I mentioned are full of vitamins and minerals.

People don't realize that getting drunk depletes your body of vitamins and minerals. That is one of the reasons you don't feel well in the morning after heavy drinking.

Here is what I suggest to the party people out there. Keep a bottle of Power Nutrients in your refrigerator. Before leaving for your party. Drink 2 ounces = to 4 tablespoons of Power Nutrients. Then when you come home drink another ounce before bed. When you awake in the morning. Drink another 1 or 2 ounces of Power Nutrients. You should have little to no hang over.

If you are busy and can not get home. Carry Ultra Power Nutrients with you. Each packet is equivalent to 1 ounce of the Power Nutrients. Before partying pour two packets into a 8 or 16 ounce bottle of water and let it fizz out...drink it up. Before going to bed try to remember to mix one more packet up and drink it . Then do the same in the morning.

On occasion I have drank a little to much and I did exactly as I stated above ... believe me...it works!

Anyone beginning a weight-loss or exercise program should consult his or her physician first. However, the following hints just use a little bit of common sense along with some new ideas that you can apply to your new healthy eating lifestyle!
Drink lots of water. You should drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses daily. This helps flush out toxins and keeps you hydrated.
Take in plenty of fiber. Fiber helps you feel “full.” It also helps keep blood sugar levels even and affects the re-absorption of fats in the intestines. Fiber also helps to cleanse the colon.
Chew your food thoroughly. This helps the digestive process.
Avoid hidden fats and calories. For example: whole milk in your cup of coffee or tea two times a day could add up to as much as 20,000 extra calories (almost 6 pounds of fat) per year.
Don’t overload on carbohydrates. We’re not necessarily advocating cutting out carbs, however most eating plans that are lower in carbohydrates and concentrate on a higher protein ratio seem to produce the best results.
Eat! There are plenty of healthy foods to snack on between meals without sacrificing your healthy diet. Don't starve yourself! This will only cause your metabolism to slow down and you will likely gain weight or stay exactly where you are.
Eat more often. Eat several small, sensible meals throughout the day, instead of two or three large ones. Preferably 5 to 6 small meals are ideal for most adults.
Bake, broil, grill or steam foods that need to be cooked. Avoid frying. If frying is a must, use light vegetable sprays or a touch of olive oil to stir-fry your food.
Choose fresh foods. Fresh foods are best, as they contain the highest nutrient levels. Frozen foods are your next best choice. Avoid canned foods whenever possible due to the high sodium content. If you must eat canned foods, look for, “no salt added.”
Do not grocery shop when you are hungry! Shopping while hungry causes “impulse buys” - purchasing more food than necessary and purchasing foods that are less nutritious.
Consume low or no-calorie beverages. During your weight-loss program, try to reduce the amount of high-calorie beverages you drink. (The average person consumes a large quantity of liquids each day, not realizing that many of these liquids are high in calories. Most times, these are “empty calories” derived from sugar.)
Read labels on fat-free products. There are low-fat and fat-free alternatives for many foods: Cookies, cake, ice cream, sour cream, cream cheese, pretzels, crackers, cheeses and frozen entrees. Enjoy your favorite dishes and cut the fat, too.
Fat-free foods may have higher sodium content than their regular or low-fat counterparts. Read the labels. Sometimes, the low-fat choices turn out to be healthier than the fat-free alternative. Pay attention to the recommended serving size. Because a food is low fat or fat-free does NOT mean have at it!
